Pinwheel, the whirling abstract painting!

Pinwheels! How can one forget the joy of playing with that colourful magic in motion? I still am fascinated by them just like a child! Holding them in your hand and get immersed with its dervish movement with utter wonderment is a gift not many of us continue to have once we grow up! The joy of holding a pinwheel in your hand and run frantically watching its constantly changing colourful patterns, creating amazing abstract is one of the few joys money can't buy!

Spotted a pinwheel seller at Kala Ghoda, on my way back home and couldn't help clicking this picture. There is something about those beautiful colours, geometry and fluid motion created by the wind that brings smile on one's face even after a really crazy day!

Pinwheels! Colours of childhood!

Dessert beauty!

"Cactus flower, a rare sublime beauty,
blooms in my balcony, blushing,
holding on to morning dew with tender love"

The last journey

"The last journey"

The void of aimless flight

between the vain entangling of

Life and Death,

is finally over!

I return to the source

enchanted with Death

as much I was with Life.

Just a moment of grief

and that piercing loss

when I think,

did I live at all ?

Or was I already dead long back?

Drifting in the wind,

whorled into labyrinth,

trampled, withered,

I die again,

departing this world

on my way to meet the Maker!

God's beautiful Art work

Stunning colour splash on a Hibiscus flower
When going for Art exhibitions seems difficult, I try to find Art in my beautiful surrounding. Every morning as a ritual, I spend few moments with my potted plants with complete silence and awe...

I love abstract Art! Enamoured by the lyrical abstraction in Hibiscus flower, I had to take this picture! The sensational purity of colours, contrasts, textures, the organic and subtle linear form that expand boundaries like a spontaneous abstract painting, the minimal yet lyrical form, the sensuous colours, the flow, rhythm, layers of hues....how can one not get fascinated by this splendour? I think colours talk to me and I am invariably lost in their music of soft notes and vibrant rendition that leaves me invigorated!

My Nature therapy

I simply love watching Sun rise and Sun sets. Witnessing mesmerising palette of blazing orange, yellow, red, white, pink, violet, blue  in different hues is deeply humbling experience!  Simply blown by this gorgeous colours of evening sky and play of light at Marve beach, the vastness of sky and the stunning abstracts that keep changing hues should be witnessed with meditative silence! One invariably returns home calmer, rejuvenated in body, mind and soul! This is my Nature therapy that invariably always works magic!

Portait of the monsoon!

Raindrops on periwinkle flowers, a sight to behold!
To enjoy the monsoon truly, you have to study a rain drop bursting from the cloud and settling on a flower/leaf/window sill or any other surface. Believe me the beauty of the moment grows on you!

Witnessing a rain drop that just landed on the flower petal from the cloud has solemn grace that is beyond words! That drop, during its ephemeral relationship with the petal quivering with the gentle breeze and almost on verge of flowing from one elegant moment to another!

To me, that tiny droplet and its intense relationship with the flower in those fleeting moments, is a complete portrait of the entire monsoon!!!

Home sweet home!

An arte fact made with paper mâché

If you live in big city, you will know how space crunched the cities are becoming by the day. Finding work is not difficult but being able to buy a roof on the head where one can live with dignity is a dream many urban people are finding impossible to achieve!
I Came across this interesting artefact made with paper mâché that reflects the very primal need of human beings; to own a home and "settle down". In city like Mumbai that is home to many people from across the country, the struggle of everyday existence is evident in every nook and corner. The city has layers and layers that unfold if you care enough to dig the surface of all the glamour and glitz that attracts so many people to the city chasing an elusive dream of better opportunities, every day! And no matter how hard the struggle, everybody just wants to have a house of their own!
